Stainless Steel Square Material Weight and Specification Table
The characteristics of stainless steel square tubes:
1. Strong corrosion resistance
Stainless steel square tubes contain alloy elements such as chromium and nickel. These elements can form a dense passivation film on the surface of the tubes, preventing oxygen, water and other corrosive media from coming into contact with the metal substrate, thereby effectively resisting corrosion and extending the service life of the tubes.
2. High strength
It has a high tensile strength and yield strength, capable of withstanding large external forces and pressures without deforming. This enables stainless steel square tubes to be used as supporting and load-bearing components in fields such as architectural structures and mechanical manufacturing, ensuring the safety and stability of the structures.
3. Beautiful appearance
The surface of the stainless steel square tubes is smooth and has uniform color, with a metallic luster. Whether it is a polished surface or a frosted surface, it can bring modernity and beauty to buildings and decorations. Its neat square shape can also meet the needs of different design styles and can be used for various decorative shapes and structural designs.
4. Good processability
It is easy to undergo processing operations such as cutting, bending, welding, and drilling. It can be processed into various shapes and sizes of components according to actual needs, meeting the design requirements of different projects and products. For example, in architectural decoration, square tubes can be bent into various arcs to make window frames, stair handrails, etc.; in mechanical manufacturing, square tubes can be welded and assembled to manufacture the frames and supports of various equipment.
5. Environmental Hygiene
The stainless steel material is non-toxic and odorless, and does not release harmful substances, meeting environmental protection requirements. At the same time, its surface is smooth, making it difficult for bacteria and dirt to grow, and it is easy to clean and disinfect. Therefore, it is widely used in industries with strict hygiene requirements such as food, medicine, and drinking water.
The formula for calculating the weight of stainless steel square:
W = 4 × S × (A - S) × ρ × 0.001
Among them
W represents the weight of the square tube (unit: kg)
S represents the wall thickness of the square tube (unit: mm)
A represents the side length of the square tube (unit: mm)
p represents the density of stainless steel (unit: g/cm³), and the typical density of stainless steel is (7.93 g/cm³)
For example, there is a stainless steel square pipe with a side length of 50mm, a wall thickness of 3mm, and a length of 6m. Its weight is: W = 4 * 3 * (50 - 3) * 7.93 * 0.001 * 6
= 12 * 47 * 7.93 * 0.001 * 6
= 564 * 7.93 * 0.001 * 6
= 4.47252 * 6
= 26.83512 kg
