How are stainless steel reducers made

The processing of stainless steel special-shaped tubes is divided into one-time forming and multiple-forming. During the one-time forming process, the stainless steel strip passes through the pipe welding processing production line. Using the combined abrasive tools, the extrusion deformation and welding are carried out to form the tube in one step, achieving the set standard of special-shaped tubes.

Multiple forming mainly involves two-stage forming. It is achieved by further machining on the round or square tubes to cause the tubes to undergo mechanical deformation and become the desired special-shaped tubes.

In terms of product process quality, the former generally performs better than the latter. However, the specific quality and process requirements do not vary greatly. For some stainless steel special-shaped pipes with relatively complex cross-sectional shapes, when one-time forming is impossible due to the complexity, they may choose two or multiple forming processes. This is an appropriate choice considering that the current processing technology and equipment for stainless steel pipes in our country have not yet reached a more advanced level.
