Today, we will share "What are the characteristics of each of the cutting methods for stainless
In stainless steel pipes, the pressure during the production process and the cutting operation can cause burrs on the pipe body and the nozzle, which can actually lead to physical discomfort. Why does this happen in stainless steel pipes?
The burrs are formed when the current is heated to the molten state during the welding process. Under the compressive force exerted by the pressure roller in the lateral direction, the excess metal and oxides accumulate at the upper part of the weld seam, forming burrs on the outer surface. In addition to gravity, other excess metal and oxides also sink inward along the axis of the steel pipe, creating internal burrs.
There are several ways to remove the burrs from the stainless steel pipes, so we will introduce the following methods.
1. Cutting method: This method employs a rotating cutting head, which is equipped with a fixed cutting edge or pipe cutter to remove burrs.
2. Rolling technology method: This method can be used as a rolling device inserted into the pipe, enabling the plastic deformation of internal burrs. However, it fails to achieve the goal of reducing the height of internal burrs within the company.
3. When starting to weld the stainless steel pipe, use an exhaust nozzle to inject the oxygen flow into the inner weld seam. Utilize the residual heat of the weld seam to accelerate the oxidation of the inner burrs and reduce them to a level suitable for the stainless steel pipe manufacturer.
4. Pulling method: When the stainless steel welded pipe passes through the mold, the burrs on the inner surface of the pipe are removed by the circular blades of the floating plug.
Stainless steel pipes possess excellent corrosion resistance and stress corrosion resistance properties. Even in a nitric acid solution with a concentration of ≤ 65% at boiling point temperature, they still maintain strong corrosion resistance. They also have excellent resistance to corrosion from alkaline solutions and most organic acids and inorganic acids. Stainless steel pipes are a type of high-alloy steel pipe that can resist erosion corrosion in air or chemical corrosive environment media, and at the same time, they need to have a more elegant and stylish decorative surface.
