Introduce the advantages of 304 stainless steel welded pipes
With the development of industry and technology, stainless steel welding pipes have been widely used in various fields. The number of users using 304 stainless steel welding pipes is also gradually increasing. What are the advantages of 304 stainless steel welding pipes? Today, the author has listed three main advantages to share with you.
1. Corrosion Resistance
Those who are familiar with stainless steel pipes should know that stainless steel pipes are not always rust-proof. The rust resistance of high-quality materials can be significantly reduced, just like 304 stainless steel welding pipes. This is a common type of stainless steel material, which has better rust resistance than the 200 series stainless steel materials and also has good heat resistance. 304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and good intergranular corrosion resistance. For oxidizing acids, experiments have found that 304 stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance in nitric acid with a concentration of ≤ 65% below the boiling point temperature. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkaline solutions and most organic acids and inorganic acids.
II. Welding Performance
The 304 stainless steel welded pipes are usually made from stainless steel plates or steel strips, which are rolled into shape through a machine and mold, and then welded. Since they are formed by welding, many users are concerned about cracks and fissures, but this problem has been solved. The inner weld seam is protected by nitrogen gas, which is more stable and provides a more thorough protection for the inner weld seam. When holding the stainless steel pipe, it is clearly visible that the inner weld seam is a white line. Brands without internal protection for the inner weld seam usually have rusty red lines or black lines. Stainless steel welded pipes protected by nitrogen gas are less prone to cracking and rusting.
III. Regarding Prices
In terms of price, although 304 stainless steel pipes are more expensive than those in the 200 series, the performance of the 200 series stainless steel cannot be compared with that of the 300 series stainless steel pipes. Compared with 316 stainless steel pipes, the price of 304 stainless steel welded pipes is more acceptable to the general public.
