What are the types of stainless steel three-way valves
The stainless steel three-way fittings are mainly divided into two categories: equal-diameter stainless steel three-way fittings and unequal-diameter stainless steel three-way fittings.
The connection end of the equal-diameter stainless steel three-way fitting has the same diameter throughout. This three-way fitting is used in the piping system and is employed when it is necessary to connect three pipes of the same diameter.
The main pipe connection end of the "different-diameter stainless steel three-way fitting" has a different diameter from the branch pipe connection end. It is suitable for situations where the diameters of the main pipeline and the branch pipeline are different and connection is required.
In addition, according to different production processes, stainless steel three-way fittings can be divided into two categories: welded stainless steel three-way fittings and extruded stainless steel three-way fittings.
The welded stainless steel three-way fitting is made by welding multiple steel pieces, including the bent pipe type, right angle type and flat weld type. Their appearance shapes are different, but the welding process is basically the same, only the shapes of the welded steel pieces are different.
The production process of the extruded stainless steel three-way fitting includes hydraulic bulking and hot pressing. These two processes enable the steel pipe section to undergo plastic deformation according to the three-way mold under the condition of not damaging the metal structure, thereby producing the designed three-way fitting.
The materials of stainless steel three-way fittings usually include 304, 304L, 316, 316L, etc. These materials have excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, and are suitable for various industrial and civilian fields.
