The properties of the material
Stainless steel is a kind of metal material with outstanding mechanical properties, exceptional corrosion resistance and excellent wear resistance.
The stainless steel pipe made of SUS304 stainless steel material has an tensile strength exceeding 520 Mpa. The thin and dense chromium-rich oxide film on the surface of the stainless steel pipe enables it to have excellent corrosion resistance.
2. Connection methods of stainless steel pipes
The traditional connection methods such as welding and flange connections are limited by the inherent characteristics of their installation processes, which means that only thick-walled stainless steel pipes can be used.
In order to ensure the connection strength of the pipeline and the reliability of the welding, it is generally required that the wall thickness of the stainless steel pipe should be above 2.0mm.
3. Users' economic requirements
In a sense, it is undoubtedly the case that using stainless steel pipes with a thicker wall thickness can better ensure the safety and reliability of the piping system.
However, due to the relatively high cost of stainless steel materials, an increase in wall thickness will inevitably lead to an increase in the cost of the piping system.
From the perspective of user economic requirements, as long as the wall thickness can meet the service life requirements, it is sufficient.
