Stainless steel elliptical tubes are a commonly used building material and are widely applied. Due to their stable physical and chemical properties, they are suitable for use in various construction projects.

01. Processing performance 

The stainless steel elliptical tubes have excellent cold and hot processing properties. They can be produced using various common cold and hot processing techniques. The heat processing temperature range is 900 - 1180℃. 

The plasticity, toughness and cold workability of the stainless steel elliptical tubes in the solid solution state are excellent. 

Cold processing is relatively easy and without special difficulties. Since elliptical tubes are prone to cold hardening, when the cold deformation is too large, intermediate annealing treatment must be carried out to facilitate further processing. 

02. Plasticity 

The stainless steel elliptical tubes have strong plasticity. Besides the commonly used elliptical tubes and flat elliptical tubes, various special-shaped tubes can also be produced according to customer requirements, such as stainless steel single-slot elliptical tubes, stainless steel double-slot elliptical tubes, etc., in order to meet the usage needs of customers. 

03. Corrosion Resistance 

The components of the stainless steel elliptical tube contain chromium. When chromium is used to alloy the stainless steel tube, the type of surface oxide is changed to be similar to that formed on pure chromium metal. 

This tightly adhered chromium-rich oxide protects the surface and prevents further oxidation. 

This oxide layer is extremely thin, allowing the natural luster of the pipe surface to be seen through it, giving the pipe a unique appearance. 

II. How to Select High-Quality Stainless Steel Elliptical Tubes 

01. Factory Technology 

The welding technology and forming technology of the factory need to be considered. The elliptical stainless steel tube is produced by extruding and shaping a round tube. If the welds are not handled properly, they may burst during the forming process. In addition, the forming mold also needs to be precise and stable to ensure that the stainless steel pipe does not deform and has a small dimensional deviation. 

02. Direct Delivery by Merchant 

First of all, you should choose products directly from the factory. Many hardware stores and steel markets claim to have factories of their own, but their stores have already consumed rental costs, labor expenses, and utilities. All these will be factored into the price. 

It would be best to directly contact the factory's salesperson for the purchase. This way, the middlemen who charge for the price difference and other fees can be avoided. However, the factory requires a large quantity for shipment, and if the order is small, they are usually reluctant to accept it. 

03. Merchant Specifications 

The stainless steel elliptical tube factory has a complete range of specifications. Even if there is no stock available, it can produce pipes of different diameters and wall thicknesses according to customer requirements. If you need to purchase multiple specifications of stainless steel tubes, and if you buy all the sizes of pipe materials from the same factory, you can save on shipping costs. 

III. What are the important details to keep in mind during the purchase process? 

01. Elliptical pipes are usually made by pressing round pipes. Commonly used round pipes include 51 press 60*40, 63 press 80*40, and 76 press 95*55. The specifications to be used should be selected based on the size of the flat pipe and the size of the elliptical elbow. It is important to note that the size pressed out by the supplier must be tightly matched with the elliptical elbow; otherwise, welding cannot be performed. 

02. The thickness should be appropriate. If it is too thin, the engineering-grade stainless steel pipe cannot be pressed out and it is prone to deformation. If it is too thick, the cost of pressing the pipe will be much higher. Generally, if the actual thickness is above 1.9, the cost of pressing the pipe will double. Therefore, when making the budget, you should pay attention to this. 

03. The selected supplier must have reliable technology. Specifically, the extruded tubes must be straight; otherwise, they cannot be welded.
