The surface of stainless steel that has been polished is more prone to rusting than that which has not been polished.
After being drawn, stainless steel pipes will have poorer corrosion resistance compared to those that have not been drawn. This is because drawing will damage the composition of the stainless steel surface and reduce the chromium content. The reason why stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance is mainly due to the chromium content. If the chromium is damaged, its corrosion resistance will significantly decrease. Therefore, drawn stainless steel pipes are more prone to rusting than those that have not been drawn.
How to make up for it? Many customers will perform acid washing on the stainless steel pipes after they undergo drawing treatment. Acid washing to form a passivation layer on the surface is a very good protective surface for the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel pipes, which compensates for the surface loss after drawing treatment and ensures the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel pipes.
