Stainless steel brushing is a metal processing technique. It is a popular surface treatment method in the modern stainless steel product industry and is used to achieve a surface brushing effect on stainless steel products.
So, will the surface rust prevention ability of stainless steel pipes be affected after being drawn? Let's take a look together!
Stainless steel pipes are a type of corrosion-resistant steel. Their main components consist of iron, carbon, nickel, chromium, and other elements. The chromium element can form a protective chromium-rich film on the surface of the stainless steel pipe, thereby preventing further oxidation and rusting of the stainless steel pipe. However, after the stainless steel pipe is drawn, the protective chromium-rich film on its surface is damaged, resulting in a decrease in the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel pipe and an increased likelihood of rusting.
After being polished, stainless steel pipes still have some corrosion resistance and rust prevention properties. It is best not to use them in outdoor exposed areas. If used indoors, they are not only aesthetically pleasing but also sufficient for rust prevention. However, if placed outdoors, proper maintenance is necessary.
In addition, it is recommended to use in a dry environment or in a place where there is no frequent exposure to water and the moisture is not excessive, in order to maintain the stability of the product.
In addition, regularly apply anti-rust oil to the stainless steel pipes. Pay attention to protecting the surface of the pipes to prevent any damage. Never use corrosive cleaning solutions to clean the stainless steel pipes; simply wipe them clean with water, as this will better protect the surface of the pipes.
